Campus Placement

BIT, Ranchi has a good track record of student placements through campus recruitment. Several organizations covering almost all sectors of the economy visit the campus every year to conduct selection tests. Visits by leading organizations year after year as well as introduction of new companies every year ensure that a majority of students are well placed during the final year of their study.


The training and placement cell at BIT IC has been created recently which has the responsibility of facilitating off-campus and on-campus recruitment programs. It endeavors to match the aspirations of the students with the needs of the industry. T&P cell initiates and nurtures contacts with leading organizations for campus visits or off-campus recruitments and is functional through out the year. T&P cell also provides counseling and guidance to the students regarding the visiting organization, selection procedure, preparation methods and resources, there by ensuring that the students are adequately equipped for the recruitment tests & interviews. A team of placement coordinators duly assists the T&P cell.


BIT IC has the facilities of centralized computer lab for online tests & has a facility of up-to-date auditorium, seminar halls and independent cubicles for the purpose of Presentations, Written test; Group Discussion and Interviews. The T & P Cell takes ample care to provide the best arrangement and hospitality for officials of the visiting companies.

 

  • Invitations are sent to the Companies by the T&P cell.
  • Once the intimation is received from the companies they are displayed on the T&P notice board so that the nterested students may submit their names.
  • The resumes of the students are then sent to the organization along with a tentative date for on-campus & off-campus interview .
  • After confirmation, the office arranges a Pre-Placement Talk.
  • The company conducts its selection and shortlists students for the interview.
  • The results are announced usually on the same day.
  • Once into the selection process, no candidate can drop out at an intermediate stage.
